Are you looking for someone else to take the lead in your life? Are you tired of making your own decisions and then regretting the choices you make? Well, try letting Jesus light your path!
O.K….How???
John 8:12 “I am the light of the world: he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”
Because He is already waiting for you to make Him the head of your life, you don’t have to do much! Simply remember to keep up a relationship with Him. Become aware of His presence in your life. Continuously thank Him for everything He has done, is doing, and will do in your life.
Begin to engage in more spiritual-like things. (Being kind to one another, showing love to everyone, constantly praying and meditating, reading the Bible, becoming more active in your community, etc)
Once we choose to follow His light, we banish all opportunity of darkness to consume us! When we stay close to Jesus, He will give us a brand new mindset and attitude and will enlighten us with His truth.
Ephesians 5:8 Walk as children of light.
Once you begin following Him, you will become so infused with His light that you will begin reflecting the light! You won’t even have to tell anyone about your new lifestyle because they will see that you have already changed–not just because of your glow, but by your actions and new faith that you will begin to release.
You will be tested, however. A common test that new-er followers of Christ will have to go through will be people continuously asking you about your decision to make Jesus the head of your life and judging your decision.
Meditate on it and practice giving your answer over and over! It is so easy to become wavering in your faith once people start hassling you.
1 Peter 3:15…always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect.
Tell them it’s because it’s so much easier to believe in Him than not believing in anything at all!
Remember what it was that made you join His side in the first place.
Stay unwavering in your faith and He will put a new song in your mouth!
Sing it for all to hear!
